Botanically classified Citrus sinensis, this type of orange was brought to Hispaniola (currently Haiti and Dominican Republic) in 1493 by Christopher Columbus from Spain and the Canary Islands. Kissed by the favorable Caribbean climate Wild Orange flourished and spread across the island. Today it provides a sustainable income to those venturing out collecting the fruit from free-growing populations. We always source organic citrus oils, but with this Wild Orange fruit is collected from its natural habitat where it grows naturally without use of toxic pesticides.
Sweet and tart collide making Wild Orange an appealing addition in perfume and other fragrance blends. Use essential oil of Wild Orange the same as Orange Sweet. Citrus essential oils said to not cause phototoxic reaction are Orange Sweet, steam distilled Lime, and Mandarin Green. Wild Orange is classified Citrus sinensis, same as Orange Sweet.
