The fascinating field of perfume notes and harmonious combinations of aromatic notes depends on one’s educated scent recognition. This is first accomplished by training olfactory senses to pure natural aromas. Over several years of travel to internationally acclaimed perfume houses in Grasse and Eze, France, a solid foundation was created. Building on the knowledge and experience obtained in France, an interest in wellness and harmony to the body, mind, and one's own self-awareness through the use of all-natural pure scents developed.
Experience in the fine perfume industry revealed a common denominator with aromatherapy whereby both have the unique ability to evoke an emotional or physical response through olfactory recognition. Relaxation or stimulation of the senses that trigger emotional pleasure or affect mood are directly influenced by the power of aroma.
Several years was devoted travelling to renowned aromatherapy spas and institutes located in S.E. Asia. Numerous trips to Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and the Philippines lead to gaining a broader understanding of the Asian approach of essential oil use in aromatherapy, meditation and therapeutic massage.
All oils at Lotus Garden Botanicals are personally sourced direct from distillers. Regular visits to distillers located around the world, ranging from small artisan to large producers, ensure premium quality aromatherapy products that meet the high standards of Lotus Garden Botanicals. An additional level of quality assurance is in place by GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrum) testing essential oils.

Lotus Garden Botanicals is named after a flower I have a personal affinity with, the Sacred Lotus.
The Sacred Lotus flower grows in the deep mud, far away from the sun. But, sooner or later, it reaches the light becoming the most beautiful flower ever. The Sacred Lotus flower is regarded in many different cultures, especially in eastern religions, as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the Lotus produces the most beautiful flower.
