Oakmoss Absolute is a must have for perfume artisans; is very tenacious and brings an exquisite depth of character to accords. Use as a superb base note fixative in masculine blends or for rounding out floral notes. This exquisite Oakmoss Absolute has a rich deep aroma; we recommend starting with 1% and adjusting upward in minute amounts.
The lichen Evernia prunastri grows on oak and some pine trees predominantly in the mountainous regions of Morocco and some Balkan countries. The lichen used for this exceptionally tenacious absolute was wild collected in Morocco, dried and then sent to France for hexane free extraction.
Allergen warning: Beware of Oakmoss absolute that is not IFRA compliant! They are usually less costly, but are high in Atranol and/or Chloroatranol (>100ppm), and not recommended for use in perfumes or products intended for skin use. The most premium specimens will also be hexane free solvent extracted.

General use: Natural and fine perfume, base note fixative, fragrance ingredient: soap, lotions, diffusers, potpourri, air fresheners, bath oils, and more.
Contraindications: Oakmoss absolute should not be used on those suffering from epilepsy or who are pregnant. Dermal sensitizer and mucous membrane irritant if not well diluted. Dilute well before use.
