Only ripe berries wild harvested in Bosnia were distilled to make this aromatically refreshing oil. Essential oil using only berries (not including needles, twigs or branches) is quite rare and difficult to find. This is true Juniper Berry oil, a sheer delight to the senses!
GCMS analysis reveals the main chemical components in our 'berry only' Juniper Berry essential oil are the monoterpenes a-pinene 41.89%, myrcene 5.10%, ß-pinene 2.60%, limonene 8.54%, and sabinene 15.76%, and monoterpenol is high with terpinen-4-ol 4.80%. These percentages significantly identify what makes this essential oil from only berries such a rare find! When branches and twigs are included in distillation the a-pinene percentage raises >70% rather than exhibit a better overall balance of constituents. The easiest tell-tale sign of non-berry only essential oil is the elevated presence (above trace) of Thujopsene, the chemical compound from woody parts of the genus Juniperus, that indicates other than only berries were included in the distillation. Our Juniper Berry essential oil has passed GCMS analysis and contains 0.06% Thujopsene scientifically proving it is from berries only.
