Jasmine sambac absolute produced by hexane free extraction has intense fruity, floral, somewhat woodsy leather-like notes in its fresh yet mysteriously complex deep aroma. A slight green floral back note brings forth a more masculine side to sambac compared to our Jasmine (grandiflorum).
This exquisite oil has been treasured for centuries and largely used in the perfume industry for its alluring aromatic properties that create a feeling of euphoria, happiness, sensuality and is treasured for its uplifting, seductive, beautiful qualities. Jasmine sambac has it all. It is a sensual, spiritual, balancing and calming aromatic. Although well regarded since antiquity as an aphrodisiac, is also reputed to possess antidepressant and sedative qualities, is a wonderful aromatic aid for birthing mothers and a comforting scent during times of imbalance, PMS and menopause.
This Jasmine sambac absolute hexane free is extracted from un-bruised flower blossoms carefully and delicately picked during the night when flowering occurs. The beautiful blossoms are far too delicate to process with steam distillation whereby the complete aroma of the flower is lost. To put this more into perspective, approximately 8,000 carefully hand-picked blossoms produce 1 gram (about 1 mL) of Jasmine sambac absolute.
Jasmine sambac absolute is such an extremely potent aroma that it should be well diluted prior to use. A little goes a very long way! Diluted in Fractionated Coconut oil or added sparingly in a blend of other oils lets the fruitier notes of Jasmine sambac come forward.
The exquisite aroma of Jasmine is sought after for its reputed powerful anti-depressant characteristics, for severe depression and soothing the nerves, producing a feeling of confidence, optimism and euphoria, while revitalizing and restoring energy.
Used in oil diffusers, creams, massage oils or directly in the bath, the aroma of Jasmine is also reputedly great for lifting post natal depression, easing muscle aches and pains, helping with coughs, as a well known aphrodisiac dating back to antiquity, and is good for the skin to encourage cell growth while increasing skin elasticity.
