Hinoki Wood essential oil from the Chamaecyparis obtusa tree of Japan has the remarkable ability to naturally kill bacteria, viruses, and fungus. Emotionally, Hinoki oil is noted for its relaxing effects on the body to help relieve tension and stress.

Because of decongestant effects it is also excellent for easing sinus congestion and respiratory troubles. Hinoki Wood oil is regarded gentle on skin and an excellent addition in bath and body skin care products. Some say an extra benefit of this oil for skin care is its very effective antiseptic, antifungal and antiviral actions for treating rashes, cuts, abrasions and minor skin irritations.

Hinoki Wood essential oil in perfumery adds an interesting sweet woody top/middle note in Oriental and Woody accords.

Hinoki Wood is used in Japan for building temples, shrines and homes because of its insect repellent attributes. Honoki Wood is also finished into home decor items like soap dishes and bath tubs. Perfumer, distiller, owner, alchemist
This Hinoki essential oil, is absolutely mind blowing! As soon as I smelled it I became inspired to create my new perfume called Raven, smokey, cedar and agars wood notes, truly a fine fine quality oil. As a distiller as well as a perfumer I have the utmost respect for quality essential oils... And this is incredible quality. Shipping and customer service as well as samples were also wonderful. I am extremely happy to have found this company, and plan on establishing a long lasting relationship with them.

Forest Therapy in a bottle
A new therapy trend in Japan is called a Forest Bathing or Forest Therapy. This Hinoki EO is perfect for those who are not fortunate enough to stroll in the forest. The phytoncides contained in the air in the forest, as well as in the EO, are shown to have soothing benefits with some duration beyond the exposure itself is what I read.

Lovely hinoki
I was looking for a hinoki oil that smelled closest to that of freshly cut hinoki wood. This was the fifth hinoki oil that I tried, and it is by far the best. It's scent is more pleasant and woodsy and less medicinal than other hinoki oils. Thank you Lotus Garden!

A Little Strong
Not my favorite oil. Not as bad as cedarwood, but I've smelled better tree oils.
