Some sources indicate it is valuable for oily skin and acne because of antiseptic properties that gently tighten and refine pores. Blend with our organic Rose Otto in a base of organic Rose Hip Oil for mature skin anti-aging formulas. Several well respected aromatherapy experts say Violet Leaf Absolute is also useful to reduce appearance of thread veins.

Use in oil based natural perfume accords for a fresh green leafy aroma and subtle floral back note. Aromatically, Violet Leaf Absolute blends well with with sweet floral oils to render an elegant accord. Excellent base note fixative!

How to liquefy and work with: Violet Leaf Absolute is quite vicious if exposed to cold temperatures (such as refrigerated or shipped during winter); you will find it needs to be gently warmed in order to liquefy and be easier to work with. I find a shot glass works well with small bottles. Place bottle in shot glass and add enough warm water (not hot/boiling) to almost reach the bottom rim of the cap. As water cools off refill with warm water until it reaches a more workable liquid state. Usually 10-15 minutes and a couple water changes is all it takes.

Aromatherapy use: Dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, oily skin, acne, bronchitis, bruises, headaches, mature skin, rheumatism, poor circulation, thread veins

General use: Natural and fine perfume, luxury bath and body products

Contraindications: None known; must dilute before use.
