Artisan distilled from the flower tops of Thymus vulgaris in France. Thyme linalool hydrosol is antiseptic, antiviral, and antifungal recommended for soothing dermal infections, acne, insect bites, and cleaning wounds. Suzanne Catty writes "It's antiinfectious and healing properties make it a specific for bedsores, and it is gentle enough for even the very ill."
For normal to oily skin types Thyme linalool hydrosol has a pH close to skin so is recommended for facial application; consider blending with
Neroli and
Cistus hydrosols to compress large pores.
The gentlest of Thyme chemotypes and considered safe for infants and children, Suzanne states when diaper rash hasn't responded to chamomile or lavender that the linalool chemotype of Thyme can then be added to bathwater.
