The linalool chemotype is beneficial in aromatherapy as one of the two gentlest of all Thyme essential oils, with
Thyme ct geraniol the other. Shirley Price states in
Aromatherapy for Health Professionals 2012, p. 8, that essential oil from Thyme ct linalool is "antibacterial, fungicidal (e.g. against Candida albicans), viricidal, parasiticidal and vermifugal, as well as neurotonic and uterotonic (Franchomme & Pénoël 2001 p. 403)."
High linalool content, coupled with the presence of linalyl acetate, makes Thyme ct linalool especially calming to the central nervous system in situations of stress, anxiety and/or insomnia. With instances of nervousness, anxiousness, or insomnia try blending with
Lavender Bulgarian to calm the mind and relax.
