Shipping Policy

We strive to process and ship orders quickly. Because we hand pour essential oil products from our cold storage we do not guarantee same day shipping. All orders are processed in the order they are received. In fairness to all customers we cannot give priority to one over another.

Depending on overall volume of orders being processed, those containing pure essential oil received Monday - Thursday at 12:00 PM EST usually ship within 24-48 hours.  Orders placed after 12:00 PM EST Thursday-Sunday begin processing the next business day (Monday) and usually ship within the next 24-72 hours. We do not process orders on Saturday, Sunday or national holidays.  Orders placed during national holidays do not begin processing until the next business day.

Shipping Exception:  Due to special handling and packaging requirements for precious Absolute oils, Co2 Extracts, Floral Wax, Resins, or any oil that must be liquefied prior to bottling or packaging usually ship between 3-4 days. 

Ordering Samples - Because we hand pour to order, when ordering more than six (6) samples the normal shipping time may be delayed depending on the overall volume of orders being prepared.  For very large orders containing more than 20 samples there is a minimum of 5 days to pour and prepare.  Orders with more than 50 samples will be delayed by 10 working days.

We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive once it is placed into the hands of the shipping carrier. All shipped orders are assigned a tracking number with email notification for you to track its progress while enroute. Please consider any shipping or transit time offered to you by Lotus Garden Botanicals™ or other parties only as an estimate. We encourage you to place your order in a timely fashion to avoid delays caused by shipping, holiday and/or backlogs created by our frequent sales that can potentially effect order fulfillment time.

Domestic wholesale/bulk orders ship within 7 days after clearance of payment. Lotus Garden Botanicals™ reserves the right to ship domestic bulk wholesale orders using the shipping services of UPS, FedEx or USPS.

International wholesale/bulk orders ship within 14 days after clearance of payment. Lotus Garden Botanicals™ ships international bulk orders using DHL only.   Please see our International Order policy here for additional shipping information.

Rates - USA 

Enjoy free USA shipping with orders $100.00 up to $1500.00 of purchased product(s).   Orders weighing 30 pounds or more shipping weight do not qualify for free shipping. Available shipping options are displayed when checking out. Orders qualifying for free shipping are dispatched by our choice of USPS Priority, USPS Ground Advantage™, FedEx, or UPS Ground. Selection of USPS Priority, USPS Ground Advantage™, FedEx, or UPS is at our discretion for free shipments.  In the case of PO Box address shipment is by USPS only.

Insurance

Shipping Insurance is mandatory for all orders of $1500.00 or more. USPS Priority and USPS Ground Advantage™ shipments automatically include $100.00 insurance at no extra cost. UPS, DHL, and FedEx shipments automatically include the first $100.00 insurance. For all shipments greater than $100.00 we recommend opting for additional insurance. Insurance for shipments valued at $1499.00 or less is optional and displayed at checkout. During the peak holiday shipping season (Black Friday through Christmas) orders over $500.00 qualifying for Free Shipping will automatically have insurance calculated and added as an additional cost to the order total during checkout until Jan 15 of the new year.  Effective 04/15/2016; Rev. 2, 09/07/2016; Rev. 3, 09/02/2022

Rates - International

Effective December 11, 2022:  International orders ship by DHL Express only and is based on dimensional weight.  The smallest dimensional weight (depending on location) is 16 oz including packaging.  Most destinations are 1 Kg.  For this reason it is recommended to order at least 16 ounces of product(s) singularly or combined.  This means that the shipping cost will be the same whether ordering one 5mL bottle or one 16 oz bottle or 1 Kg or any combination of products with a packed weight up to 1 Kg.  We are unable to ship orders to international locations by USPS due to special handling requirements for essential oils.  International shipping rates for your specific location can be calculated prior to completing your order by entering international postal code in the designated area within your shopping cart.  Essential oils with a low flash point are considered hazardous and will NOT ship by USPS in any quantity, therefore DHL is the only option we offer for shipping internationally to countries that DHL services with dangerous/hazardous shipments.

HAWAII/USA PROTECTORATES: For purposes of determining shipping methods Hawaii as well as any territory or protectorate reachable only by air from mainland USA is considered international. For shipment of essential oil considered hazardous FedEx or UPS must be selected. Failure to select one of those two couriers for hazardous essential oil shipments will delay shipping while the customer is contacted with FedEx or UPS additional shipping cost added to the order.

Domestic Shipping Returns:   There are a variety of reasons why an order may be returned to us by the carrier.  Re-shipping is at customer expense, for instance if we were provided with an incorrect shipping address.
