Seje, also known as pataua, is another one of our new Amazonian carrier oils. Our seje oil is wild harvested and cold-pressed in the Brazilian rainforest within the localized community. In fact, the fruit and oil of seje has been used in Brazil for several decades to treat a plethora of skin conditions. Seje is a superbly nutrient oil being a rich source of vitamins A, C and E to combat the effects of aging, sun damage, and moisture loss. Consistent use of seje oil restores elasticity to skin and repairs broken bonds within hair strands, leading to firmer skin and strengthened hair. Along with seje’s multivitamin profile is a rich fatty acid composition, being very high in omega 9 (70% oleic acid) to effectively moisturize dry to very dry skin. Our seje oil also contains a healthy amount of 7% palmitic acid, and 3% linoleic acid.
This batch of seje oil has a medium strength aroma similar to our pumpkin seed oil. The texture is light and silky with an exquisitely soft dry down. Seje oil is a unique and spa-quality ingredient for skincare and haircare aficionados interested in Amazonian luxury and its natural benefits.
