Cinnamosma fragrans Ballion, called Mandravasarotra is best known as Saro for short. Native to Madagascar, Cinnamosma fragrans thrives in the tropical climate and does not grow well outside Madagascar. Organic grown and certified organic distilled Saro essential oil contains 40.90% 1,8 cineole making it highly antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, an excellent immune stimulant and superb germ killer with antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial benefits.
The aroma of Saro is reminiscent of
Eucalyptus citriadora and
Lemon Tea Tree combined. Of all the medicinal smelling essential oils Saro is the most pleasant on dry down revealing a nuance of floral and slightly sweet lemony notes. Emotionally, Saro is refreshing and uplifting and diffusing Saro essential oil may help combat depression, anxiety and mental fatigue.
Saro is well suited in massage blends because of its highly anti-inflammatory qualities. Aromatically, and aroma-therapeutically, Saro blends well with Plai essential oil, another invaluable massage therapy oil.
