Rosehip organic hydrosol comes to us by USA artisan distillation. This hydrosol is distilled once per year after hips have ripened in the fall. Because Rosehips contain a high amount of Vitamin C (that is water soluble) it is likely passed on into the hydrosol. With much the same benefits as Rosehip oil, this hydrosol has skin care attributes and is most fitting for inclusion in facial toners and other water-based skin care formulations.
Rosehip is one of the best hydrosols to use as a skin toner particularly when anti-inflammatory and non skin drying astringent benefits are desired. With its antimicrobial properties it makes an excellent room spray to cleanse germs from the air, plus, it has a delightfully fresh and slightly sweet aroma. We find it has just a hint of rosy aroma, we say hint because it should not be confused with true rose hydrosols such as Rose Otto, Rose Alba, or Rose Centifolia...although any of these three blends very well with Rosehip hydrosol!
