One of our candle makers asked for a pure essential oil blend that created the aroma of root beer. Although there are synthetic fragrance oils in the marketplace with a root beer aroma there is not one that is composed purely of natural ingredients found only with pure essential oils. Steering away from synthetic fragrance oils, a 'natural' root beer aroma is what our customer requested. After the better part of a year tweaking and fine tuning the percentages of each essential oil, the aroma of our root beer blend has been deemed a tremendous success. This blend however is specifically geared towards candle makers, room diffusion, and room sprays. This blend's delicious aroma enables candle makers to use at maximum loads between 6-10%, of course depending on the type of wax and wicks used.
Because Wintergreen and Camphor make up the greatest percentage in this blend we do not recommend it for skin care applications, however, in a diffuser the air is brightened with a clean fresh aroma.
Traditional root beer beverages were originally made with sassafras and later on with safrole-free sassafras extracts. Our Root Beer blend, although it contains no sassafras, has a remarkable similarity to the aroma of root beer beverages.
We caution to keep this blend away from children that might mistake it for something edible. All essential oils should be kept out of reach of children, however those with gourmond aromas can especially be mistaken as an edible.
Dilution: Root Beer blend is 100% pure essential oil and not intended for use neat on skin. For perfumery or skin products blend with one of our premium quality carrier oils. For perfume we suggest
Jojoba Clear or
Fractionated Coconut Oil. Both are clear, odorless, and economical. Refer to our
dilution charts to calculate ratios.
Diffuser use: Use full strength in candle or electric diffuser to fragrance any space. Should you dilute with carrier oil do not use in diffuser.
Use Root Beer pure essential oil blend as natural perfume, in bath and body and skin care products, scenting candles and soap, in a candle oil warmer or electric diffuser, lamp rings, to scent potpourri or dried flowers, room spray.
Due to the high quality of our full strength pure essential oil custom blend, only a few drops are needed. For dilution purposes use this blend in the same ratio as any pure essential oil single note.
