Pink Peppercorn essential oil from Schinus molle L., also called Peruvian Pepper Tree, for a warm, dry, spicy bouquet and diverse middle note in perfumes. Blends well with many other oils. Botanically unrelated to Black Pepper but blends well with it.
This essential oil is purportedly a strong anti-fungal said to aid conditions of Candida and other fungi/yeasts; is good for colds, flu and upper respiratory infections; believed to increase blood circulation; recommended for its anti-inflammatory action with arthritis and rheumatism; and is a viable insecticidal. Numerous scientific studies give credence to these claims, such as "Antioxidant, antimicrobial and toxicological properties of Schinus molle L. essential oils" and "Synergistic antibacterial activity of the essential oil of aguaribay (Schinus molle L.)".
