Also known as Orange Flower from the bitter orange tree Citrus aurantium, Neroli is produced as an essential oil and also hydrosol or hydrolat. Our newest Neroli hydrosol from Morocco comes straight from the artisan distillation of fresh flowers in Morocco. Although slightly more expensive than others in our range of neroli hydrosols the aroma is very fragrant and pleasant with a scent very close to pure neroli essential oil.
Neroli hydrosol is extremely versatile. It can be used in the formulation process anywhere that water is required. This hydrosol is calming, soothing, and a wonderful toning astringent skin tonic when used 100% strength.
Although emotionally calming and relaxing Suzanne Catty mentions that Neroli Hydrosol is mildly sedative but doesn't cause drowsiness. She also mentions it beneficial with ADHD, the effects of over indulgence in alcohol, and with stopping addictive habits.
