Hailing straight from Tahiti is our new Monoi butter, a deliciously sweet-scented oil in a base of premium coconut oil. Organically grown Gardenia taitensis flowers, known in the region as Tiaré flowers, are macerated and soaked in virgin coconut oil — which is also organically grown and produced in Tahiti. The result is an exotically scented butter that is divinely sweetened with the succulent smell of gardenia flowers!
Monoi de Tahiti has a very specific production method. It must be made on the island of Tahiti in French Polynesia, and under a French government decree. The process of creating this special butter is through a maceration technique of using no less than 10 and up to 14 French Polynesian Tiaré flowers per liter of virgin Polynesian coconut oil. Additionally, the enfleurage process must have soaked a minimum of 10 days for the coconut oil to extract the Tiaré flower aromatic components.
Monoi de Tahiti shares the same skincare benefits as our regular virgin coconut oil. Excellent for dry skin, rough patches, and hair care, delivering a soft, creamy texture. The Tiaré flowers via enfleurage extraction adds an exquisite aromatic dimension that enhances any formula it touches with a sweet, creamy, and delicious white floral accord reminiscent of a fresh, tropical breeze.
