This Jasmine grandiflorum absolute from India is not your typical Jasmine. A beautiful hexane free extracted, certified organic produced absolute with a fresh, crisp, fruity aroma. Green accords give this Jasmine a hint of less floral femininity. A spectacular addition for unisex blends calling for a touch of floral sweetness.
Jasmine of all varieties has been used for centuries as an aphrodisiac and is largely used in the perfume industry due to its alluring aromatic properties that create a feeling of euphoria, happiness, sensuality and is treasured for its uplifting, seductive, beautiful qualities. Jasmine has it all. It is not only sensual and spiritual, but is also a balancing and calming aromatic. Although well regarded since antiquity as an aphrodisiac, is also reputed as possessing antidepressant and sedative qualities, is a wonderful aromatic aid for birthing mothers and a comforting scent during times of imbalance, PMS and menopause.
This Jasmine grandiflorum absolute is processed from un-bruised flower blossoms collected during the night when flowering occurs. The beautiful blossoms are far too delicate to process with steam distillation. To put this more into perspective, the same applies to grandiflorum as to its cousin sambac with approximately 8,000 carefully hand-picked blossoms needed to produce 1 gram (about 1 mL) of Jasmine grandiflorum absolute.
Jasmine grandiflorum is prized for its reputed powerful anti-depressant characteristics, for severe depression and soothing the nerves, producing a feeling of confidence, optimism and euphoria, while revitalizing and restoring energy.
Used in oil diffusers, creams, massage oils or directly in the bath, the aroma of Jasmine is also reputedly great for lifting post natal depression, easing muscle aches and pains, helping with coughs, as a well known aphrodisiac dating back to antiquity, and is good for the skin to encourage cell growth while increasing skin elasticity.
The aromatherapy properties of jasmine oil reputedly include anti-depressant, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, anti-spasmodic, expectorant, sedative and uterine.
