Our hemp essential oil, commonly known as hemp essential oil, is organically cultivated in Canada and then steam distilled to yield a concentrated essential oil. Hemp essential oil is distinct from hemp seed oil, which is a cold-pressed vegetable seed oil classified as a carrier oil.
Hemp essential oil is a pale-yellow translucent liquid with a unique herbaceous aromatic profile. Strong and pungent top notes segue into milder herbal middle notes resulting in an earthy green dry down. More notably, hemp essential oil contains an abundance of chemical constituents that topically soothe and help relieve chronic pain and stress-induced conditions. What differentiates our hemp essential oil from others is that our producer expertly steam distills the flowers, panicles (flower cluster), stem, and upper leaves, giving the most diverse constituent profile imaginable. We are proud to offer a hemp essential oil with 27.78% beta-caryophyllene, 24.71% myrcene, 10.31% alpha-humulene, 6.49% alpha-pinene, 5.67% limonene, 4.99% terpinolene, 4.1% beta-pinene, and 2.69% trans-beta-ocimene.
The aforementioned constituent profile of hemp essential oil renders its function as a powerful pain reliever and the ultimate anti-inflammation agent, as well as being a strong muscle & joint relaxer with analgesic and antioxidant properties (data obtained through gas-chromatography-mass-spectrum (GCMS) analysis compared to standard hemp essential oil). This GCMS really showcases the many uses and benefits of using hemp essential oil in an array of soothing, calming, and relaxing formulations such as pain-relieving creams, balms, salves, tinctures, massage oils, and bath soaks. Hemp essential oil also pairs well with formulations that contain CBD, as it augments the anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties associated with CBD.
Please note that during the steam distillation process, the psychoactive chemical tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is lost (it s water-soluble) and thus not present in this essential oil.
