Helichrysum Hydrosol is extremely versatile and provides many beneficial uses. Helichrysum italicum is also known as Immortelle or Everlasting.  The aroma is honey-like, sweet, and reminiscent of the wafting smell of sweet rolls baking in the oven.  It has a softer scent than our Helichrysum essential oil but is closer in aroma than those we sampled from other locations.

Like the essential oil, the hydrosol possesses anti-inflammatory and cicatrisant properties that are helpful with the healing of wounds, scars, and acne.  Helichrysum Hydrosol is wonderful to use with bruises and is a good choice to include in formulations for anti-aging, mature skin, and conditions of eczema.

Beneficial Uses of Helichrysum (France) Hydrosol:
  • Rapid healing of cuts and surgical incisions
  • Diminishes bruises
  • Oral care rinses
  • Liver detoxifier
  • Gargle and mouthwash after dental work
  • Helpful with healing scar tissue
  • All types of skin problems including rosacea, eczema and sunburn (blend with Chamomile Roman Hydrosol)
  • Douche (blend with Cistus hydrosol ) for painful periods and endometriosis
The shelf life of hydrosols is generally up to 2 years or longer when properly stored in the refrigerator. Our Organic Helichrysum (France) Hydrosol does not contain any preservatives.
