Hazelnut CO2 extracted oil is both beneficial in skin care and oh so delicious, in a Nutella kind of way. Organic grown in Turkey, Corylus avellana nut kernels are extracted in Germany using Supercritical CO2 Select extraction. The resulting Hazel Nut CO2 oil is rapidly absorbed by skin, beneficial to maintaining firmness and elasticity, encourages regeneration of cells and stimulates circulation. Because Hazelnut oil is said to strengthen capillaries it is often used to reduce visibility of thread veins. It is also slightly astringent and can be used with sensitive, combination, and problematic skin types.
Hazelnut CO2 is lightweight with a non-greasy feel that leaves skin soft and supple. It is said to have a natural sun protection factor in the range of 15 (SPF15) making it an interesting base oil for skin care products. Consider blending with our
Red Raspberry Seed Oil for additional natural sun protection qualities. Keep in mind that products formulated for sun protection labeled 'sunscreen' must be formally tested for exact SPF rating.
Our Hazelnut CO2 extract is so delicious you may be tempted to put a drop in your coffee! With this extract being classified 'food grade' it can be used in products intended for internal consumption. Although we do not sell food products and because our oils are intended for external use only we're just providing the food grade information in case anyone is tempted to consume.
