Botanical Name: Boswellia papyrifera
Origin: Ogaden, Ethiopia
Boswellia papyrifera resin from Ethiopia, wild harvested by Fair Trade practice. Frankincense papyrifera resin is a rare treat that exudes a soft floral, resinous sweet coniferous aroma when allowed to slowly smoke in a resin burner.
Some scholars say Frankincense papyrifera is believed to be the true Frankicense of antiquity. Frankincense papyrifera has been used throughout the ages to heighten spirituality, prayer, and consciousness. B. papyrifera soothes the spirit and relaxes respiration thereby promoting deep breathing to enhance meditation.
Charcoal should be allowed to transform into grey ash on the outside before placing papyrifera resin on top. If placed on charcoal too soon while glowing this resin will burn too quickly and not release its full aromatics.
Please note we package resins by weight, not container size. Resin pieces vary in size from pea to thumbnail. We do not sort according to size and therefore package a mixture of sizes. Due to the irregular natural sizes and shapes of resin the specific weight purchased may not completely fill our container used in packaging. The upside to our packaging is that your resin will arrive in a sealed reusable container that provides proper storage.
