Eucalyptus smithii is a bright fresh clean smelling essential oil also known as Gully Gum. This smithii species of Eucalyptus is safe for children and the elderly making it the most versatile of all Eucalyptus oils.
If sensitive to stronger smelling Eucalyptus globulus you will love smithii. It has a soft camphoraceous aroma that is well received in spa steam rooms, gyms, body scrubs, soaps, and bath salts. Other therapeutic benefits of Eucalyptus smithii include adding a few drops in a steam shower or bath to clear and revive the respiratory system. To open a stuffy nose or clear sinus headache try placing a few drops inside a hot wash cloth (rung out and folded a couple inches wide) to lay across nose and cheeks. Eucalyptus smithii is also a choice essential oil in massage blends targeting sore muscle and joints.
Easily rid stale or foul household odors by diffusing Eucalytpus smithii on its own or blend with Lemon essential oil. A few drops on a sponge after cooking fish to wipe down counter tops leaves a fresh clean smell, plus, it's natural antibacterial action is a fantastic way to eliminate germs.
