Davana essential oil, sourced from a certified organic distiller in Tamil Nadu, India, is both mysterious and exotic in a sensuous aphrodisiac-like way. Davana is aromatically divine flowing with a warm gentle rum raisin like scent. This mystifying and alluring essential oil has the ability to produce feelings of inner peace, increase the flow of positive energy, and bring about calming clarity to thought processes. If pondering on something and have become indecisive or confused add a few drops of Davana in a candle oil warmer or diffuser to aid opening the mind to clearer thoughts. This is the main reason Davana is well regarded as a spiritual scent and enhancement to meditation blends.
Davana essential oil possesses the unique ability to express a different aroma on different individuals. I suspect this is the reason it is often reached for as an ingredient in personal perfume creations.
As glorious as it is, Davana should not be used during pregnancy because of its high Ketone content that may induce menstruation. Because of this tendency, according to the writings of Rose Heart, Master Certified Aromatherapist, Davana can be seen as an aid for menstrual problems.
Aromatherapy use: aphrodisiac, anxiety, stress, depression, menstrual problems
General use: Fragrance ingredient for soap, candles, natural perfume. For meditation blends use sparingly with a harmonious oil; goes especially well with Sandalwood. Diffuse in an oil diffuser to create clarity.
