Pure prime pressed cacao beans from Côte d'Ivoire have a delicious rich chocolate aroma and shelf life of at least 3 years. Because Cocoa Butter melts above 29C/85F we ship wafers in a jar. Recommended storage: 15C/60F. The advantage with Cocoa Butter wafers is the ease of adding into formulations without all the mess and fuss of cutting pieces from a solid block.
Cocao Butter is a fatty acid triglyceride used as a soothing and nourishing emollient in skin care to moisturize dry and cracked skin and help keep skin soft and supple. An excellent butter for use during pregnancy to minimize and reduce stretch marks.
Cocao Butter may also be added in formulations to provide stiffness in finished products. Use in massage body bars, lip balms, body butter, soap and mommy-to-be belly moisturizing formulations.
