Coming from the same ‘Acacia' family as Mimosa, our Cassie Absolute is produced via extraction of flowers from the Acacia farnesiana tree. The aroma of Sweet Cassie is simply divine. Described by master perfumer Steffen Arctander, it is “extremely warm, powdery-spicy, at the same time herbaceous and floral with a deep and very tenacious cinnamic-balsamic undertone. The absolute is used in high-cost perfumes where it lends a unique warmth and woody-floral note”.
Cassie Absolute production is scarce, with less than 100 kg of absolute made world-wide every year. As with most arduous extractions, the low-yield ratio of flowers to oil, and delicacy of the flowers itself, contributes to Sweet Cassie’s high expense and value. Nonetheless, it’s captivating aromatic qualities outnumbers the cost, as one whiff of this treasured absolute mesmerizes in an instant, and tenaciously continues to do so without fail.
Just like our Mimosa, Sweet Cassie is a viscous, mobile liquid that is pourable. Depending on its initial temperature, it may need gentle warming to fully liquefy and easily dispense.
