Our new Cardamom essential oil, which is organically farmed and hydrodistilled in Guatemala, has a distinct sweet and spicy energy with a delicious warm aromatic note.
Cardamom essential oil, sometimes called cardamon, is highly valued for its benefits in sensual or aphrodisiac blends. It is also believed to alleviate digestive issues, nausea, wind, and heartburn. This essential oil can be used as a bath oil and is particularly useful during winter to relieve colds and chills. When blended with a
carrier oil, it can be massaged into the stomach and upper body. However, this hydrodistilled Cardamom essential oil has a potent aroma, so it should be used in moderation. Additionally, because this essential oil is high in 1,8-Cineole (36.77%), it should not be used with infants or children, according to Robert Tisserand and other aromatherapy experts. Oils high in 1,8-Cineole can cause CNS and breathing problems in young children or infants.
